June 15th 2020 will Mark 50 years to the day that Community Cooling has been providing air conditioner repairs, services, maintenance, and installation in Southwest Florida. Paul Hartman and one other partner began the company in the summer of 1970 in a small storefront on Fowler Street.
Within a short. Of time Paul bought out the other partner and continued operate the business as a family enterprise focused on providing top quality air conditioner service and repairs at a reasonable price to Lee county residents.
In 1970 Fort Myers was a much different town. There were only a handful of other air conditioning companies Community Cooling and Heating was certainly one of the very first, and putting the name “community” in the company name was no accident. Paul Hartmann firmly believed that his company and his family are here to serve the community … not subject his customers to a sales oriented approach. Honesty, integrity, and providing a level of service that his neighbors would appreciate enough to recommend is the very cornerstone of Community Cooling’s business model.
